I was just reading the Guardian today wh...Hi Gary,<br /><br />I was just reading the Guardian today where I read the following article.<br /><br />http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/booksblog/2009/oct/02/fantasy-worm-ouroboros-eddison<br /><br />It made me think of your recent quest (yep, that's a pun) to get a decent fantasy recommendation.<br /><br />It's been a while since I read Ourobouros but you might find it interesting. Textually the prose feels quite different to most fantasy you are going to read these days - it reminded me mostly of Beowulf or Viking epics.<br /><br />Certainly I can't think of a book I've read that's quite like it.<br /><br />I am quite interested in some of the books you've mentioned so I'll check them out once I've waded through the end of the Baroque Cycle...<br /><br />Your blog's interesting.
